ACCESS NEW JERSEY

Find out what's happening around the state! Access New Jersey is a collaborative effort by the members of JAG (the Jersey Access Group), a collective of local access TV stations. Each half-hour show features four or five short segments from stations across the state -- on entertainment, history, the arts, health, and more.

Access New Jersey airs: Tuesdays at 12:30pm, Fridays at 8pm. 

 

AGING INSIGHTS

Aging Insights is produced by the New Jersey Foundation for Aging. It provides valuable information to NJ Boomers, Caregivers and Senior Citizens so they are aware of all the programs and services available to them. Fitness, assistive devices, and retaining and building on your creativity later in life are just some of the topics covered on recent shows.

Aging Insights airs: Mondays at 7:00pm, Tuesdays at noon & 7:30pm, Wednesdays at 8:30pm.

 

AGING TODAY IN MIDDLESEX COUNTY 

Aging Today in Middlesex County provides all the information seniors living in central New Jersey need to live happy, productive lives in their Golden Years!  Produced by the Middlesex County Office on Senior Services, episodes have explored topics such as ways to stay active, senior transportation services and more.

Aging Today in Middlesex County airs: Mondays at noon, Thursdays at 7pm. Fridays at noon.

 

CLASSROOM CLOSEUP NJ

Classroom Close-up NJ is a magazine program focusing on innovative education in New Jersey's public schools.This 30-minute weekly series features the students, teachers, and communities who create and participate in successful school projects and events. Season highlights include arts education, conflict resolution, and literacy programs. Also watch for Parent Tips and Teachable Moments.

Classroom Closeup NJ airs: Tuesdays at 9pm, Thursdays at 1:30pm, Saturdays at 12:30pm, Sundays at 6pm.

 

DESTINATION: TOMORROW

NASA’s Destination: Tomorrow™ is a series of 30-minute educational programs that focus on NASA research, including new technologies, advanced aerodynamics, past achievements and medical breakthroughs. Each exciting program gives the audience an inside look at NASA and demonstrates how research and technology relates to our everyday lives. If it’s cutting edge technology, medical breakthroughs or advanced aeronautical research - NASA’s Destination Tomorrow™ will bring it to you first.

Destination: Tomorrow airs: Wednesdays at 6:30pm, Saturdays at 10:30am.

 

DIALOGUE WITH DORIS

Dialogue with Doris has been hosted by Piscataway resident, Doris Herbert Robinson for the past 22 years.  Doris and her guests discuss issues and topics that pertain to our everyday lives.  She has also had celebrity guests on including Gloria Gaynor and Randall Pinkett.

Dialogue with Doris airs: Wednesdays at noon, Saturdays at 6:30pm.

 

DRAWING WITH MARK

Do you have little, budding artist at your house? If so, Drawing with Mark is perfect for them!  Using a fun child-friendly approach Illustrator Mark Marderosian teaches children the step-by-step fundamentals of drawing.  

Drawing with Mark airs: Mondays & Wednesdays at 9am, Saturday at11:30am.

 

EYE ON PISCATAWAY

Eye on Piscataway is a monthly program that airs LIVE on the first Monday of each month. This hour long program is hosted by Piscataway’s Mayor Brian Wahler. Mayor Wahler always does his show live so residents have the opportunity to call-in and speak with him, on the air, and have a back and forth discussion about issues pertaining to Piscataway and life in general. Each episode includes discussion with a variety of people, video highlights of events that took place in Piscataway or central New Jersey the during the previous month, the reading of the monthly announcements so viewers are aware of upcoming events and of course viewer phone calls!

Eye on Piscataway airs: Mondays at 8:00pm (live on the first Monday of each month), Rebroadcasts Fridays at 7pm,  Sunday at 7pm.

 

FRIENDSHIP SET TO MUSIC

Friendship Set To Music is an award winning, hour-long, entertainment program showcasing the fun that can be had square dancing and round dancing. In addition to the energetic dancing on each show there is a cooking segment highlighting finger food recipes, a humor segment, a segment teaching the basics of modern western square dancing, and on occasion a square dance travel segment. The shows regular dancers and callers are often joined by guest callers and dancers providing variety in calling, dancing styles, and types of music. 

Friendship Set To Music airs: Thursdays at 7:30pm, Fridays at 6pm.

 

GOSPEL CENTRAL

Gospel Central gets down to earth in interviews with gospel artists about their music, their lives, and the faith that ties it all together. With hot music videos and on-site filming at venues, this is an up close and personal look at the inside world of gospel music. 

Gospel Central airs: Sundays at 8pm.

 

HEALTHTALK

Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital’s monthly Health Talk show offers information on a variety of health topics from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital’s medical experts. The show is hosted by Dr. Douglas Ashinsky, an internist with RWJPE’s Warren Internal Medicine.

HealthTalk airs: Mondays at 1pm, Tuesdays at 7pm, Wednesdays at 10:30pm, Thursdays at 8:30pm.  

 

IF PLANTS COULD TALK

If Plants Could Talk features gardening tips from local university experts, successful farmers, master gardeners, and many other plant experts. Topics include new and interesting plant varieties, safe and effective pest control, step-by-step cultural tips for landscape and garden, and visits to local farms, arboretums, and backyard gardens. If Plants Could Talk airs: Saturdays at 8pm

 

JOURNEY TO THE EAST

Journey to the East features the best from Nu Tang Dynasty TV. Each episode transports the viewer to China and explores that country’s culture, food, music, art, traditions and more.

IN THE FIGHT

In The Fight is a news magazine that covers accurate and timely information about Soldier missions, training, operations and achievements of today's Army.

In The Fight airs: Mondays at 10pm

 

LOOK GREAT, FEEL GREAT

Since 1984, host Lenore Kulek has produced nearly 500 editions of this very popular half-hour exercise program. It features aerobic and stretching exercises, as well as dance and other special topics, such as yoga and the martial arts.

Medical Tips You Need to Know hosted by Patricia Raya, RN, C, MBA and Corine Mogenis, Medical Paralegal, experts in the healthcare arena, discuss various health topics of concern and aim to help people navigate the complex healthcare system, take charge of their health care and "Get Empowered, Get Educated and Get Healthy.

OLD WAYS IN NEW JERSEY
Old Ways in New Jersey 
promises to shed light on historical traditions that live on in our contemporary society. The monthly show is produced and hosted by Professor Angus Kress Gillespie, of the American Studies Department at Rutgers University, and founder of the New Jersey Folk Festival.

Old Ways in New Jersey airs:  Wednesdays at 12:30pm & 7:30pm, Saturdays at 7:30pm  

 

ON THE HISTORY TRAIL

On The History Trail host Mark Nonestied offers an Indiana Jones-esque tour of some of central New Jersey’s more interesting local historical attractions.

ON THE LOOSE

On the Loose, produced by Steve E. Kaiser and hosted by a variety of local talent, has been in production since 1991.  As the title of the series suggests, each episode is a free-wheeling search for entertainment, food, and fun at locations and events throughout New Jersey.

On The Loose airs: Tuesdays & Fridays at 10:00pm, Saturdays at 9pm.

 

PEEK-A-BOO TURTLE

Sue Miller, a librarian and the host of Peek-a-Boo Turtle, entertains children with a story, songs, creative movement and a craft which all adds up to a half hour of fun for kids ages 5 and under!

Peek-a-Boo Turtle airs: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 9am, Thursdays at 6pm.

 

RIF EXCHANGE

Produced by the Reading Is Fundamental Organization, RIF Exchange, provides parents and teachers valuable information and tips they can use to instill a love a reading in children.  Children who love to read, and who are good readers, perform better in school.

RIF Exchange airs: Mondays at 6:30pm, Thursdays at 12:30pm.

 

SENIORCIZE

Seniorcize host Paula Lehman-Pezet combines mild aerobic activity and light weight training to provide the perfect workout routine for senior citizens of any age who want to stay active, look better and feel younger!

Sharing Miracles is a 30-minute public affairs television program that tells the compelling and inspirational stories of real patients and how they dealt with their illness.

SPOTLIGHT ON MIDDLESEX COUNTY

Production of Spotlight on Middlesex County was launched in 1994, and more than 200 shows have been presented. This monthly program focuses on Middlesex county people and issues with an emphasis on services that residents of the county can utilize. The members of the Middlesex County Board of Freeholders rotate hosting duties presenting topics that are relevant to the lives of Middlesex County’s 700,000 residents. The program is videotaped at the Piscataway Community Television Center and is featured on local municipal channels and the community channels of Cablevision and Comcast reaching all 25 municipalities in the county

Spotlight on Middlesex County airs:  Mondays at 7:30pm,  Wednesdays at 9pm.

 

SUDZIN COUNTRY 

Sudzin Country is a half hour of great Country and Bluegrass music! The show features various music videos, country dancing, and interviews with Country Music and Bluegrass celebrities. This program, with its mix of music and new releases from up-and-coming artists, satisfied all tastes in Country and Bluegrass music. Sudzin Country airs: Mondays at 9pm, Thursdays at 11pm, Fridays at 9pm, Saturdays at 8:30pm. 

 

What Matters Most

Hosted by Eric Anzalone of the Village People, interviews amazing people from various backgrounds and helps to promote their cause, while simultaneously influencing the viewer to change the world.The goal of the program is to bring awareness to the viewer and spark the same fire of change that was lit by our guests.
