An expungement is a court order from Superior Court Judge that orders the Court and Law Enforcement to remove and seal a defendant's record.  This process is a Superior Court matter.  The State Judiciary publishes a booklet guide to the expungement process.  The booklet guide is available on the State Judiciary website.  The web address is: www.njcourtsonline.com.
